OK, these wooden short swords are just a TON of fun! When I made the first prototypes, I might have wasted a bit too much time just playing with them! The weight of the dense plywood gives them a substantial but well balanced feel, not too different from a real blade.

They feature a 14″ blade (overall length just under 20in), and a round pommel with a hanging hole. Left unfinished for easy painting if desired.

They are made from 1/2″ thick baltic birch plywood. Unlike typical plywood used in construction, this is an extremely durable and high quality plywood commonly used in high quality furniture. Consisting of 9 layers of baltic birch veneer with no fillers, it is nearly as hard as the hard maple used in many of my other products, and the cross lamination makes it resistant to splitting.
